Finding Your Purpose in Life

To fully understand the purpose of something, it is best to read the manufacturer’s guide.  Fortunately, our “manufacturer” or “Designer” is God and He has given us a manual for finding our purpose and living to our potential.  The Bible contains the answers to life’s most piercing questions, like “Why am I here?”

YOU WERE CREATED BY & FOR GOD (Colossians 1:16 – NIV)
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”

YOU HAVE FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD BECAUSE OF YOUR SIN – Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD – Isaiah 59:2
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

GOD HAS PAID THE PENALTY OF YOUR SIN & IT IS YOURS IF YOU WILL TRUST IN HIM – I Peter 2:24
 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

TRUSTING CHRIST FOR YOUR SALVATION – Romans 10:9-13
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. ¹¹ As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” ¹² For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, ¹³ for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
